Following his education at Birmingham-Southern College, John embarked on a career in a boutique investment banking firm, assuming key responsibilities for mergers and acquisitions with privately-owned companies in the southeastern United States. His journey progressed to the National Bank of Commerce, where he served as the Assistant Vice President for regional banks, specializing in commercial loan origination and underwriting for middle-market businesses. Subsequently, as the Executive Vice President for Colonnade Group, John led event management teams, overseeing projects like Men's NCAA March Madness seating and court builds and the creation of temporary infrastructure for the 2015 Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Kentucky. John also directed the procurement of temporary infrastructure for Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, managing races and events, including the F1 US Grand Prix. In 2018, John founded Hightower Solutions, a company providing facility management and construction services to the sports and higher education markets. Collaborating with entities such as Lexington Sporting Club, Tulane University, Breeders Cup Ltd, and FIRST Robotics, Hightower Solutions delivers tailored facility solutions to meet diverse needs.
